Gabriel Salvatierra is the CHRC Student Representative for the Coronado High School.  His job is to lend the CHS student experience to the Commission's perspective.  He helps the Commission in identifying ways of promoting respect, tolerance and inclusion; understanding and empathy; forgiveness; and the peaceful resolution of conflict among and between elementary and middle school youth and adults in the community of Coronado.

This page is for Gabriel and his fellow-students at CHS to do with as they please.  It is meant to reflect, in time, the melding of their ideas, creativity, input and effort, making it a wonderful example of inclusion, peacemaking, and teamwork!

"Dear Gabe . . . "

Do you have a question you would like to ask Gabe or have an issue you would like Gabe to present to the Coronado Human Relations Commission?   Please ask your question through Mrs. Schwartz and Gabe will publish his answer . . .

Welcome New Students!

The Coronado High School Ambassador Club:  The Ambassador Club was established in the 2004-2005 school year as a way to welcome new students to Coronado High School.  Ambassadors are friendly people who want to make others comfortable in their new environment in Coronado.  The president is Alexandria Sadorf.  The vice-president is Barbara Morett.  The secretary is Melissa Bordson and the treasurer is Enrique Araiza.

Other Clubs:

Want to make new friends? Clubs are the backbone of student activities at CHS . We are fortunate to have faculty members who are willing to sponsor clubs. Clubs fall into three categories: honorary clubs, activity clubs, and service clubs. Honorary clubs select their membership based upon some standard of accomplishment. Activity clubs assemble students who share an area of interest. Service clubs devote time and energy toward providing valuable services to school and community. At the end of each year, the Superintendent's Trophy is presented to the service club which has been most active. Membership in clubs is a privilege, which must be earned. Students must meet the same academic eligibility requirements as members of the student government, class officers, and athletes. Students are also expected to be active members of their organizations. Non-participants may be dropped from rosters by the club advisors.
