“We are joyful and grateful that our fundraising efforts have touched
the hearts of so many individuals and organizations in our community,”
says Deborah Schwartz, Chairwoman of the Coronado Human Relations
Commission. “Accordingly, we are able to move forward with the
exciting and promising ‘Blue Ribbon’ ceremony during the “Take My Hand,
Coronado!” week of March 29, 2010. With the purchase of over 9,000
“Who I Am Makes A Difference”™ Blue Ribbons, over 9,000 youth and adults
in our community will be honored for their character and contributions!”
“Without the benevolent support of so many, we would be unable to join
the numerous communities across the globe – from California to Rhode
Island, from Canada to the Bahamas – ‘going blue’ during the week of
March 29th- April 1. It is with heartfelt gratitude that our
supporters, citizens and guests, young and old are invited to join the
CHRC in also celebrating our tenth annual Peacemaker Awards. Eight
citizens will be honored for their significant contributions to peace in
human relationships, and all present will be honored with a Blue
Ribbon.”
